another subtle difference.... again another first thing you learn in basic is Unde esti? and you're taught to reply... Eu sunt din (name your country.)
Unde esti? = Where are you?
De unde esti? = Where are you from?
Frankly one time another student asked me Unde esti? and I thought that was weird (you know those gut feelings)...I knew that it meant where are you (from) but I also knew it meant where are you now? so i just stared blankly at this guy and i think he thought i was weird. So teachers of limba româna - VA ROG - te intreb - VA ROG - could you be clear about that right from the start?
