the difference between a apărea si a părea
a părea = to seem like
a apărea = to appear
maybe it seems obvious to some people and perhaps even in english this distinction is made - need to look that up -
alright i did look this up and the second definition in the dictionary for appear is seem but you will not find appear and seems as synonyms in the thesaurus. in the romanian dictionary they do in fact list a secondary meaning for appear to be seem as well but it seems (haha) the best use of each word is to make this distinction. since after all both words exist.
the key here is that a apărea is to appear in some form as at the door (întra) more of a physical distinction. seem is not as concrete - this is the distinction between appear and seem. ¶ 10:46 a.m.
